Wedding at The Gala 417 | Virginia Beach| August |Cody + Sam

The First Wedding EVER at the Gala 417! Before we dive into this wedding I just wanted to take a minute to show off The Gala 417 for my couples still looking for a wedding venue. This is a brand new Wedding and Events Venue in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This event space has a perfect location on the water at Long Bay Pointe Marina. It features a large and open floor plan, 50ft white marble bar, a patio overlooking the water, huge crystal chandeliers, industrial/rustic high ceiling rafters, pearl-white walls, dark wood floors, and a beautiful, luxurious Bridal Suite! This venue is available to be rented out for any private event!

The owners Amberly & Coleman Ferguson have put so much love and passion into making this venue a perfect destination for their couples and worked with Cody & Sam to bring their wedding to life. They were able to bring to fruition the vision that the couple had using the beautiful space at the Gala 417. On top of that during the actual Wedding Day, everything flowed seamlessly because of their hardworking staff.

Now, back to this glorious wedding! They spent time inviting their perfect guests and choosing their bridal party based on people that meant the world to them; people that had invested in their relationship and had been there for years. They also wanted to incorporate their family members and their children as much into their Wedding as possible.

Every single person, including Cody and Sam, came to party with a capital P from start to finish. They were party animals...they danced the whole day and did not stop laughing and enjoying every moment of their wedding, even during dinner, there was dancing at their seats with lots of joking and singing! Cody and Sam are huge Jay Z fans, so during the reception, they wanted to be introduced to Jay-Z's Allow Me to ReIntroduce Myself. My Favorite moment was when the bride walked down the aisle, she had TWO very important and special men in her life to guide her down the aisle to the love of her life and future husband.

DJ West was behind all of the MC work as well as the disc jockey at my wedding and reception this past Saturday. My husband and I met with him and his wife just TWO WEEKS before our wedding, told him the genres of music we wanted to listen to, the only stipulations being 4-5 MUST HAVE songs to be played, and gave him the green light to just run with it and do his thing. Believe me when I tell you he did his THING. We had a large wedding with 131 people in attendance and he kept the crowd LIVE, happy and moving for HOURS! Not only did my guests have fun, but West threw himself into the fun as well and it was so pleasing to see. If you need a DJ that’s going to hype up your crowd and have your family and friends still talking about it for days and days (which I know is going to turn into weeks and weeks) DJ West is your go-to man. 10/10 will use him again if I need a DJ in the future. He’s genuine, accommodating and not only did I get a DJ, but I made a friend and that’s something that can’t be replaced. Hats off to you Westley! You definitely made our wedding the BEST day of our lives!

Congratulations Cody & Sam!
